Emmanuel Clinton Sogo
SOGO, EMMANUEL CLINTON, Esq. is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department of the Firm, with a practice focus on Energy and Natural Resources, Intellectual Property, and Election Litigation.
Prior to joining the Firm, he represented local and international clients across various business sectors in complex civil matters involving all facets of Energy Law, Intellectual Property Litigation, Debt Recovery, as well as opposition proceedings before superior courts of record. He is acclaimed for representing Nigeria’s apex bank in complex debt recovery suits, and frontline political candidates in pre/post-election litigation.
Notably, he was an active member of the legal team that advised the Central Bank of Nigeria in the digitalization of the E-naira and subsequently represented her in contentious copyright suits at the Federal High Court. More so, owing to his penchant for excellence in legal practice in his previous employment, he was made a principal member of the team that advised and represented the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board in and out of court concerning oil and gas disputes.
Emmanuel is an innovative thinker with strong communication skills, that adopts a practical approach to problem-solving and has the drive to see projects through from conception to completion. In his spare time, he plays and watches football, and contributes to jurisprudence by writing on novel areas of law.
