Ayooluwa obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Hertfordshire, United
Kingdom. Since his return to Nigeria, Ayooluwa has championed the adoption of automation
technology and Artificial Intelligence by law Firms in Nigeria. He was the Head of the
Technology and Innovation Practice Group of Aina Blankson LP, a leading global law Firm,
where he conceptualized and led the development of a cloud-based law repository which
harmonized clients’ data in a user-friendly format ensuring complete compliance with the
Nigeria Data Protection Rules (NDPR), 2019 and GDPR. Ayooluwa provided seasoned legal
advice to an array of clients on the legal and regulatory compliance regime for the deployment of
technology in service delivery in Nigeria. He submitted insightful contributions to the Data
Protection Bill, 2020 and was in the forefront in the agitation for the adoption of a virtual court
system in Nigeria in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ayooluwa has in-depth experience in
intellectual property law and has handled IP portfolios of notable artistes in Nigeria. He has
structured intellectual property deals and drafted copyright licensing agreements for notable
figures in the entertainment industry.
Ayooluwa has advised on project finance, market recapitalization, technology adoption, African
derivative markets, entertainment law, corporate restructuring, data protection and compliance,
and property law among others. He has been instrumental to the development of many
centric companies in Nigeria, such as The Workplug Ltd, Datex Consulting Ltd, Booblegom
Ltd and Quales Tech.
Prior to joining Aina Blankson LP, Ayooluwa had worked as an Associate at the prestigious law
firm of Afe Babalola SAN & Co., where he cut his teeth in intellectual property and dispute
resolution. He represented agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria in matters of national
importance and notable multinational corporations in high-value trademark disputes. As a Legal
Manager at Quales Tech, a company focused on creating holistic technology mavericks to fit into
the growing and evolving global technology community, Ayooluwa oversees legal and
compliance needs of the company as well as provide risk management advice to the company
Ayooluwa is a volunteer judge for Jack Ma’s Africa’s Business Heroes, a member of Sickle Cell
Aid Foundation, and a founding member of Garnet Centre for People with Special Needs.
