Suit No: FHC/HC/CV/2457/2016 between - Dr. Ebikabowei Victor Ben and The Government of Bayelsa State & Anor.
We are pleased to have represented a High Net individual; Dr. Ebikabowei Victor Ben in a Complex real estate litigation involving a contractual tenancy with the Bayelsa State Government in respect of a prime property situate in a high brow area of Abuja, before the Federal Capital Territory, High Court, Maitama, Abuja Coram Oriji.J.
The Court acceded to the claimant's claims in part by agreeing that there was indeed a contractual tenancy in favour of the claimant, and until the Defendants fulfill their underlining obligations as stipulated in the contract, they cannot proceed to recover possession by any means whatsoever.
Other notable pronouncements were made by the trial Judge in its judgment including the propriety or otherwise of an additional witness statements on oath which is silent under the rules of court inter alia.

Under the old dispensation of the Electoral Act, 2011, there was universal locus standi to any person who has reasonable grounds to believe that the information supplied by a candidate in his FORM CF001 are false or has submitted forged documents of a fundamental nature that impairs his constitutional qualification, and can approach the Federal High Court, High Court of a State or High Court of the Federal Capital Territory to seek an order of disqualification.
